Community Data & Maps
Assessing well-being and community context across the nation.
Since 2009, the we have partnered with over 90 communities in 18 states using the Early Development Index (EDI). In response to community needs to track children's development across the years, in 2020, we expanded our set of measures to include the Childhood Experiences Questionnaire (CHEQ) to learn what experiences children have prior to Kindergarten, and the Middle Years Development Instrument (MDI) to learn about children's social and emotional well-being during adolescence. Through these partnerships, we have co-created maps, resources, and other datasets that have allowed cities and communities to take knowledge and turn it into action.
The Data Informed Futures team works together with its partners to design products that communities can use to make lasting change. Below are partners' story maps and web maps that are publicly available.
